Is CHops fully self-hosted?

Yes. CHops runs entirely on your own infrastructure. There are no external telemetry calls, no cloud dependency, and no data leaves your environment.

Which ClickHouse versions are supported?

CHops connects over the native ClickHouse protocol and is compatible with ClickHouse 22.x and later. Older releases may work but are not officially tested.

Can I manage multiple ClickHouse nodes?

Yes. You can register multiple ClickHouse instances and switch between them from the header. Metrics and operational data are always scoped to the selected node.

How is access control handled?

CHops has its own RBAC system backed by PostgreSQL. Each user has a system role (admin or guest by default). Admins can create custom roles, assign fine-grained permissions, and activate or deactivate accounts.

What's the tech stack?

The backend is a Go REST API (/api/v1). The frontend is React 18 built with Vite. User data, roles, and permissions are stored in PostgreSQL. ClickHouse communication uses the native binary protocol.
